Observing the natural landscape around me, I am influenced by the unique patterns and distinctive shapes of plant life, as well as the geometric patterns of rocks and minerals. My intent is to capture the essence of what I see, and translate these elements and designs into tangible art forms, which complement the natural setting in which they are shown.

The seeming permanence of metal and stone, used as compositional elements, helps enhance the visual statement presented. Stones have a natural shape and texture that I utilize along with various metals to express my personal experience of nature. Allowing the metal to rust highlights and exemplifies the slow transition of the metal back to its original state. Utilizing artificial materials in combination with natural elements helps me to convey the connection between the two points of origin.

My goal is for the sculptures to reveal an alternative perspective, providing the viewer with a diverse and unique visual experience.
